In de persoon van conservator fotografie, doctor Maartje van den Heuvel, heeft de Universiteit Leiden het boek The Dream Vehicle officieel opgenomen in haar fotocollectie, onderdeel van de bijzondere collecties van de Universitaire Bibliotheken Leiden. Het boek is als onderdeel van de collectie in te zien, voor iedereen die de Nederlandse fotografie op een academisch niveau wil onderzoeken en bestuderen.
De opname in de Universitaire fotocollectie die geldt als de oudste in Nederland, volgde na een inhoudelijke uitwisseling met conservator Van den Heuvel, waarbij de thematiek en beeldstijl van The Dream Vehicle werden besproken. We behandelden onder meer het fenomeen van het introspectieve reizen en welke betekenis het fysieke landschap, in dit geval dat van de lage landen van West-Europa daarmee krijgt.
We zijn enorm vereerd met de opname van het boek en danken de Universiteit Leiden en in het bijzonder doctor Maartje van den Heuvel.

In the person of curator of photography, doctor Maartje van den Heuvel, Leiden University has officially included the book The Dream Vehicle in its photo collection, part of the special collections of the Leiden University Libraries. The book can be viewed as part of the collection for anyone who wants to research and study Dutch photography at an academic level.
The inclusion in the University photo collection, which is considered the oldest in the Netherlands, followed a substantive exchange with curator Van den Heuvel, during which the theme and visual style of The Dream Vehicle were discussed. We discussed, among other things, the phenomenon of introspective travel and the meaning it gives to the physical landscape, in this case that of the Western European lowlands.
